What Makes Our School Unique?

 

    Glencliff Elementary serves grades K-4 in a modern school environment.The faculty and staff are committed to providing an educational experience second to none. A strong emphasis is placed on academics. As a Title 1 school, Glencliff staff has invested the additional resources to provide increased learning opportunities in reading, math, and computer literacy. The children are provided with opportunities to have hands on experiences in the arts and are exposed to a variety of cultural experiences.

    We value every student we serve. They are our first priority, and we make an effort to ensure that every child is successful. We are committed to providing every child with the tools for lifelong learning.

English Language Learner

    We are especially proud of the great diversity of our student population. Our English Language Learners bring a perspective to our school that helps us to become a truly diverse multi-cultural center. These students  represent 13 nationalities. The English-speaking abilities of these students range from very limited to very proficient. They have been able to teach us much about their cultures.

 

Who Attends Our School?

 

    Students attending Glencliff Elementary live south of downtown Nashville surrounding the Nolensville Road area and are zoned to Glencliff High School. The elementary schools in the Glencliff cluster are: Fall-Hamilton Enhanced Option, Glencliff, Glengarry, Glenview, Paragon Mills, and Whitsitt. The middle schools are Cameron and Wright.

 

PENCIL Partners

 

    PENCIL Foundation, a nonprofit organization, links community resources with Nashville public schools. A PENCIL Partner is a business or other community organization that teams up with a Metro school to volunteer time and donate resources that promote student success.
